Shake Your Grove Thang!

Do you know how to shake a lulav?
Do you even know what a lulav is? Or an etrog?
Shake it to the east, shake it to the west, shake it to the one we love the best! Come celebrate Sukkot with us on Friday, Oct 17. Pot luck dairy dinner (kugels! blintzes! salads! and more!) in our Succah at 6 pm followed by Shabbat services.

Welcome! Come on in, the water's fine.

Tonight marks the holiest day of the year, Yom Kippur. Services start tonight at 8 pm. We meet again Thurs morning at 10. Yizkor services will be at about 11:30 am. During the time between morning and afternoon services, Hazzan Laurie will be showing a movie, The Quarrel. Afternoon/evening services will start at about 4. We anticipate the shofar blowing will be about 6:15 or so, followed by our community break fast ($10 donation requested, please) As soon as the break fast is finished, we will put up and decorate our Sukkah. PLEASE JOIN US!

NB: If you are not allowed to fast (diabetes, other medical reasons, pregnant etc) DON'T. You are not allowed to risk your health.

Who We Are

While we are not a large Congregation, the Board of Directors has plans to enhance membership and programs. We are looking for members who wish to become part of the local Jewish Community. Services are conducted by Hazzan Laurie Rimland-Bonn and Cantor Isaac Kriger.
Hazzan Laurie is the spiritual Leader of the congregation and has instituted adult education classes and adult Bar/Bat Mitzvah classes.
Cantor Kriger is assisted by his wife Liz on the keyboard and she also adds her voice to many of the traditional melodies. These two voices present an awe inspiring service.
In addition to a Sisterhood group, a Men's Club has also been started. Both these groups are involved in charitable works and synagogue maintenance.
We need the support of every Jewish family and person in our area to help by attending services and becoming a supporter.
